Agnes I. Putz, 96, of Dyersville, formerly of Petersburg, Iowa passed away Friday, October 10, 2025, at MercyOne Hopsital in Dyersville, Iowa.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Kramer-Morris Funeral Home in Dyersville, Iowa. Funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at St. Francis Xavier Basilica in Dyersville, Iowa. Rev. David Schatz will officiate. A private burial will follow at Ss. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Petersburg, Iowa.
Agnes was born on April 29, 1929, in Greeley, Iowa, daughter of William and Minnie Bockenstedt. She married Walter M. Putz on September 12, 1950, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Greeley, Iowa.
Survivors include her children: Kathleen Willenborg of New Vienna, Diane (Jim) Hoeger of Earlville, Betty (Bill) Wessels and Lois (Mike) Steger, both of Dyersville, Chuck Putz of Holly, MI, Edward (Janet) Putz of Dyersville, Leo (Tammy) Putz of Farley, Mike (Shelley) Putz of Monroe, WI; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Nurre of Manchester; and a sister-in-law, Maggie Bockenstedt of Earlville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, parents-in-law, Anthony and Marcella Putz; her husband, Walter, in 1995; children: Marvin and Rose Putz; granddaughters: Marsha and Laura Willenborg; son-in-law, Gary Willenborg; and several siblings and in-laws.
