On January 17, 2025 Agustin Tafolla passed peacefully at home surrounded by his family.
He was a devoted husband, loving father, caring grandfather, proud great-grandfather, and faithful friend.
For most of his life, our father was a farm laborer where he established life-long friendships.
If you didn't find our dad in his garden planting tomatoes, zucchini, chilies, or cilantro then he was reading, praying, or watching soccer in his chair by the window. Walking into his home you were greeted with a smile, open arms, and an offer to eat. Stories, advice, prayers were shared to everyone who stepped through the front door.
He was a faithful ministry member at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Lemoore. There he served the Hispanic Community as a Baptismal Instructor, Extraordinary Ministry of the Eucharist, and as an Usher for the Spanish Mass. He was also a faithful member of The Legion of Mary, Hora Apostolica, and a Guadalupano. As a Cursillista he loved saying "De Colores" to let you know that Christ's love was all embracing.
In the last few years, he slowed down, yet remained up to date on current events, such as knowing who was ahead in soccer stats like his favorite team, Chivas. He even got to see his beloved Dodgers win the World Series this past year.
He was granted the beautiful gift of a peaceful death surrounded by his devoted wife, Carmen Tafolla of fifty-five years. A strong family is left behind to carry on his memory and love in his three sons and one daughter, seventeen grandchildren, and three great-grand daughters.
Funeral services will be held at St. Peter's Catholic Church, with a rosary at 11:30am followed by Mass at 12:00 pm, and will be laid to rest at Sunflower Cemetery in Lemoore at 1PM.
The Tafolla family would like to thank the Care Team from Adventist Hospice for their dedicated service.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking that a donation be made to Mary Immaculate Queen Catholic School in his name.
