Aida Mercedes Parra Figueroa was born in Cali, Colombia, on June 22, 1929, and passed away in Jacksonville, FL, USA, on January 26, 2026. She worked as a wax mold operator in a Miami jewelry factory and also served as a childcare provider and senior companion. She is survived by her three children: Yanella, Luis, and Francisco Parra; two granddaughters, Madeline Bardoff (Keith) and Sophia Parra; and two grandsons, Frank and Alexander Parra. Aida was laid to rest surrounded by her Colombian-American family at Prairie Creek Conservation Cemetery in Gainesville, Florida, on Thursday, February 5, at 1 p.m.
