Aiden David Paul Grefe

Aiden David Paul Grefe, a sweet and gentle soul known by many names; son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend passed away on April 17, 2023. He was born on February 10, 2006 to Rachel Lynn (Graham) Grefe and Jeffrey Paul Grefe at St. Claire’s Hospital in Weston, Wisconsin. Aiden attended Merrill High School as an 11th grade student.

Aiden would do anything for the ones that he loved. He was extremely compassionate for other people, including his family that he loved with every bit of his heart. He was his little brothers “right hand man” from day one. He was also known for the joy he brought to his younger cousins; “he was never afraid to play like a kid.”

Aiden had a great love for the outdoors, whether it be snowboarding, skateboarding, shooting hoops or hanging out. He also had a great work ethic and worked at McDonalds and more recently at Hardee’s in town.

If Aiden touched your heart, know that you hold a piece of him there forever.

Aiden is survived by his mother, Rachel (Nick Weisenfeld) Grefe, father: Jeff Grefe, siblings: Molly Moon and Evan Grefe, maternal grandparents: Tammy Kottke, Bruce (Mary) Graham, and Colleen Graham, paternal grandparents: Dave (Julie) Grefe, aunts and uncles: Dan (Sara) Graham, Sally Graham, Bryanna (Darian) Scheer, Bruce Q. (Felicia) Graham, Amber (Kevin) Progar, Pat Adams, Josh (Sheena) Grefe, Monica (Rob) Allen, and Becky Grefe, his closest cousin: Tanner Graham and many other cousins, great aunts, great uncles, and second cousins.

He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Lyod (Marian) Kottke and Bruce (Patricia) Graham, great uncles: Wade Kottke, Keith Kottke, and Dale Kottke, cousin: Titus Kottke, and baby Kalepp.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 24, 2023 at 11:00 am at Les & Jim’s Lincoln Lanes Banquet Hall, 1208 N Center Ave., Merrill, WI 54452. A visitation will be held on Monday, April 24, 2023 from 8:00 am until the time of service also at Les & Jim’s Lincoln Lanes Banquet Hall.

For those unable to attend the memorial service in person, it will be live streamed, beginning at 11:00 am, and will later be posted as a recording for future viewing.  It can be found under his obituary on the funeral home website.

In loving memory of Aiden, donations may be made to a future memorial fund in Aiden’s name.
