Our beloved Mother and Mema, Aileen Q. Williams, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on January 1, 2025, at the age of 94.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, Marshall Williams; Son, Michael R. Williams; Daughter-In-Law, Sharon A. Williams; Father, Manuel Mendonsa; Mother, Amelia Mendonsa.
Aileen was a long time resident of Clanton, Alabama and is often remembered by many in the community for her dedication to exercise. She could be found almost everyday at the local YMCA and was an inspiration to many. She loved the beach, working in her beautiful yard, traveling, playing dominoes with friends and Alabama football. But most importantly to her, was the deep love she had for her country and her family.
She is survived by her son, Mark Williams; Daughter, Donna (Jim) Martin; Grandchildren, Sheilia (Jason) Davidson, Kaine (Amy) Martin, Adam (Charla) Williams, Emily (Jim) Wiley, Kari (John David) Sweeney and Jessi Williams; Great-Grandchildren, Ashlyn Driver, Peyton Clark, Kaleb, Eli and Jonah Martin, Gabe Williams, Marshall and Tucker Wiley, Mia, Harper and Hudson Sweeney; Great Great-Grandchildren, Elliot and Evelyn Driver.
The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to Shelley Collinsworth for her love and special care she gave to Aileen for several years and the to compassionate caregivers at Sylacauga Nursing Facility for the past year.
Friends will be received Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home, as we celebrate her life and return to her eternal home in Glory.
Services will be held Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 2;00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home with Rev. Teddy Chadwick officiating.
Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama.
