Elberta Porter Ray, 92, of Clanton, Alabama passed away February 11, 2026, in Clanton, AL.
She was born February 27, 1933, in Chilton County, Alabama, daughter of the late Bunk Porter and the late Ola Porter.
She delighted in dancing of all styles, finding joy and expression in every step. She loved and cherished her family beyond measure and held them close to her heart. Young at heart and spirited, she embraced life with laughter, warmth, and a love for fun that touched everyone around her.
Surviving are her Daughters, Janice Cobb (John) Blalock, Norma Kennedy, Judy (Rowland) Heatherly, Sherry (Butch) Pinkston; 11 Grandchildren; 20 Great-Grandchildren; Numerous Great, Great-Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Bunk & Ola Porter; Husband, Sterling Lloyd Ray; Sisters, Pauline Liveoak, Irene Smitherman, Lena Pate, Athalee Speight; Brother, Clyde Porter; Grandson, Michael Harding; Granddaughter, Anna Katherine Pinkston; Great-Grandchildren, Trae Cobb, Morgan Cobb & Scott Sterling Cobb.
Pallbearers: Bobby Pinkston, Chad Chambers, Bill Hilyer, Cameron Nall, Clint Miller, Lance Dees, Jonathan Elrod & Dylan Hamer.
Friends will be received Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.
Services will be held Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 1:30 pm. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Justin Nelson officiating.
Interment will follow in Archers Chapel Cemetery, Jemison, Alabama.
