Aimee Ann Howard

Aimee Ann (Zacharias) Howard passed away on July 27, 2026 and went to be with her Dad. She was born July 15, 1972 at St. Anthony's Hospital where she would later work as an out-patient counselor. Her parents named her Aimee, which means beloved and she definitely was loved.

She attended Yukon schools and graduated in 1990. She went on to attend Southwestern University of Oklahoma in Weatherford, OK. and received a Masters degree in Psychology in 1996. During her attendance there, she was once recognized by the Psychology Department as the outstanding undergraduate student and once as the outstanding graduate student. Her career would involve working with all ages from grade school students to nursing home patients.

She met her husband through a mutual friend from work. He became the love of her life. They were married October 10, 2020 in a beautiful outdoor setting along Lake Overholser in Oklahoma City.

Outside of work, she expressed herself in many creative outlets: teaching herself to crochet while in college; decorating her home which was warm and inviting; making T-shirt quilts; and doing pencil drawings of friend's children. A talent she inherited from her Dad.

Her children were very special to her and she took great pride in their accomplishments. Created special ways to celebrate each birthday with seven meaningful gifts (something you want, something you need, something to wear, something to read, an activity you really like, a family outing, and something homemade to show our love will never fade). Or sending treats with Jerry to share with his co-workers.

She is survived by her loving husband Jerry Howard; her daughter Abigail Lewis and partner Brayden Stringer, her son Landry Lewis; her stepchildren Nicolas, Skyy, and Autumn Howard; her mother Patricia Zacharias; her mother-in-law and spouse Valerie and Stanley Quinn; her aunt and uncle Deena and Doug Miller; and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father Dennis Zacharias; maternal grandparents Amedee and Catherine Gendron; paternal grandparents Aaron and Evalyn Zacharias; aunt Mary Grenier; uncle Edmond Gendron; and several cousins.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Friday, March 6, 2026 at Yanda & Son Funeral Home, 1500 W. Vandament Ave., Yukon, OK.

Services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, March 7, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 9100 N. Eastern Ave., Oklahoma City, OK 73131.
