Funeral services will be held December 13, 2025 at 2:00 pm in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Al Gene Breaux, 72, who passed away December 10, 2025 at his residence. Matthew Palmer will conduct the funeral services. Debbie Lenox and Cindy Theriot will serve as lectors, and Tiffanie Guillory will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow the service in St. Basil Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Pamela Breaux of Rayne; two children, Tiffanie (Sonny) Guillory and Troy Breaux, both of Ridge; three sisters, Debbie (Mike) Lenox of Lafayette, Jan (Matt) Loftin of Columbia Station, OH, and Lori Breaux of Lafayette; one brother, Gordon (Christine) Breaux of Arnaudville; eight grandchildren, Tucker, LaRae, Taylor, Teryn, Hailey, Emmie, Tori,and Talya; and two great-grandchildren, Kiyah and Kyren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rena and Nelson Breaux.
Al was a native of Rayne, and resident of the Ridge/Judice community for the past 40 years. He retired from the jewelry business with 30 years of service, after which he became the owner/ operator of the Ridge Grocery, known as the "Pink Store," retiring in 2020.
Al had numerous hobbies and interests. He was a member of the American Jewelers Association, the Sulpher Creek Hunting Club, Acadiana Wood Turners, and the Cajun Pines Golf Club. He will be missed by his family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Troy Breaux, Gordon Breaux, Sonny Guillory, Dan Theriot, Scott Hackney, and Mike Hogan.
Visitation hours will be held Friday, December 12, 2025 from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm, and resume Saturday, December 13, 2025 from 8:00 am until time of service. A rosary will be prayed Friday evening at 6:00 pm.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Community Hospice and caregivers Karen, Clarissa, Valerie, Matt, and Zach.
