Alaina Michelle Dean, born on May 25, 1967, departed from this world unexpectedly on Sunday, March 9, 2025. She was the beloved daughter of the late Jim Miller and Sylvia (Scott) Miller.

Alaina brought joy to those around her with her quick wit and humor. On good days, you would often find her singing old songs and reminiscing of old times. She was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need, even if it meant sacrificing her own needs. Alaina was a wonderful caretaker of her mother and grandmother. She had a passion for crafts and loved entertaining her family and friends, creating memories for all that will last a lifetime. Alaina held a special fondness for sunflowers, the colors turquoise and teal, and loved elephants, which was reflected in her collection of pictures and figurines. She especially cherished her cat, Meowgi. Her family remembers her for her kind spirit and storytelling abilities.

Alaina is survived by her siblings: Diana Patterson, Marie Fortune (husband, Donnie), Aaron Gunnells (wife, Deanna), Linda Waldrop (husband, Trampas), Donald Miller, Jimmy Miller (wife Kim), James Miller, and Rachel Miller, along with aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and extended family. Alaina was preceded in death by her parents Jim Miller and Sylvia (Scott) Miller, and her son Billy Joe Dean III.

A visitation to honor Alaina will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at DeClue Funeral Home in Potosi, Missouri, followed by a memorial service beginning at 1:00 PM. Alaina Michelle Dean will be dearly missed, but her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those she loved and those she held close to her heart. Funeral Arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of DeClue Funeral Home.
