Alan Duane Alcorn, 73, of Kansas City, Mo., died Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Warsaw Health & Rehabilitation.
He was born March 9, 1951, in Windsor, Mo., the son of Wilson William Alcorn and Ethel Louise (Williams) Alcorn. He graduated from Windsor High School and owned and operated a restaurant. He was a faithful supporter of the National Federation of the Blind, supporting their work of caring for blind children and adults throughout his life. He loved the Kansas City Chiefs, listening to country music, and was very interested in law and government.
Survivors include a brother, Gayle Alcorn (Linda), Windsor, Mo.; a nephew, Michael Alcorn, Pennsylvania; a niece, Michelle Fields (Charles), Clinton, Mo.; and 5 great-nephews, Trevor, Charlie, Joey, Timothy, and Marcus Fields. He was preceded in death by his parents and several cousins.
Graveside funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 7, 2024, at the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor, with Gene Mankini officiating. The family suggests contributions to the National Federation of the Blind in care of the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor.
