Alan Chapin Obituary
Alan "Tink" Chapin, age 76, of Rapid River, passed away at his home on Saturday, December 13, 2025.
Tink was born July 21, 1949, in Hillsdale, Michigan, son of Earl and Letha (Wilkins) Chapin. He spent many years sailing the Great Lakes as a Merchant Marine.
Tink loved spending time with his friends and chosen family. He also enjoyed hunting and was an avid reader. He loved watching sports, especially the Yankees and Red Wings.
Tink leaves behind 3 sisters, Bonnie (Ed Muszynski) Hughes, Betty (Daniel) Kesselring and Ann (Jim) Peterson, Joe Reynolds and family and many close friends.
A celebration of Tink's life will take place at the Swallow Inn on Sunday, December 28, 2025 from 1 until 4 PM. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Chapin family. To offer an online message of sympathy please visit www.skradskifuneralhomes.com.
