Atkinson, NH: Alan E. Cormier, 74, a resident of Atkinson since 1989, died Sunday December 14, 2025, at Portsmouth Regional Hospital, following an accident at home earlier in the day. Born in Ithaca, NY, Alan was the son of the late Paul Cormier and the late Lorraine (Marcoux) (Cormier) Amirault, who passed away at her home in Salem, NH three days earlier.

Alan was raised and educated in the Haverhill area, attended Saint Joseph Grammar School and graduated from Lawrence Central Catholic High School. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan and later his master's degree in education from Northeastern University and another master's degree in business administration from Boston University. Primarily a healthcare administrator for several hospitals, Alan was the former owner and director of the Legend Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Gardiner, MA and was known for the support and care that he extended to his employees. He was also the Chief Executive Officer of High Talent Leaders and author of two books, The High Talent Leadership Revolution and The Talent Acquisition Professional's Guide.

A resident of Saco, Maine for six years before moving to Atkinson, Alan enjoyed boating, golfing, trips to Aruba and sharing a good joke or funny story. He was an avid New England Patriots fan with an appreciation for all types of music and performed for family and friends with his bass guitar.

Alan was predeceased in 2010 by his first wife Julie (McKenzie) Cormier and will be sadly missed and lovingly by his wife Michele (Viens) (Dube) Cormier, two sons, James P. Goodwin and his wife Wendy of Nashua, NH, and Eric R. Dube of Sandown, NH, three daughters, Allison J. Pajunen of Derry, NH, Devon M. Cormier, of Atkinson and Brittany M. (Dube) Devitto and her husband John of Atkinson, a sister Paula J. Cormier of Salem, NH a brother Dr. David Cormier, D.D.S. of Bonita Springs, FL, seven grandchildren, MacKenzie, Connor, Hannah, Jackson, J.D., Bella and Brook, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members and friends. He was predeceased by his brother Wayne Cormier in 1967, his sister Sharon Becotte, in 2010, and his grandson Joshua Pajunen in 2019.

A private family graveside service will be held for Alan in the spring at Atkinson Cemetery. A celebration of life will also be held in the spring. For those wishing to make memorial donations, the family would like you to consider the American Cancer Society.
