Alan Wayne Cronin

Alan Wayne Cronin, 70, passed away peacefully at home on February 9, 2025. Born on May 25, 1954 in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Wayne was the cherished son of Dottie Jo and Thomas Cronin. In 1976, he made Texas his home, where he would go on to build a fulfilling life enriched by his work, family, and community.
Wayne's mechanical talents led him to a career at Pronto Muffler, where his dedication and skill saw him rise through the ranks until he became the proud owner of the business in 1981. In 1978, he met Nancy, the love of his life, and together they shared 40 years of marriage filled with mutual support and affection.
Beyond his professional achievements, Wayne had a passion for playing the guitar and fishing. His humor and generous spirit were legendary; he delighted in making others laugh, even if it was at his own expense. His willingness to lend a hand enriched the lives of all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Michelle Cronin. Wayne is lovingly remembered by his wife, Nancy Cronin; his children, Jessica Crossley, Crystal Hoisager and her husband Don Wayne Hoisager, Jr., and Frank Cronin; his grandchildren, Layla Crossley, Don Wayne Hoisager III, Hannah Hunter and her husband Robert Tyler Hunter, and Emily Hoisager; and his great-grandchildren, Colton Hunter, Aubrey Hunter, and Evelyn Hunter.
Alan Wayne Cronin will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his kindness, generosity, and the laughter he brought into every life he touched.
