Alan C Feibel

Alan Cary Feibel, age 75, passed away Tuesday evening, April 25, 2023, from complications of Parkinson's disease. Alan was born October 22, 1947 in Bronx, New York. He was predeceased by his parents Edwin and Anne (Scherer) Feibel. His family "escaped" (as Al liked to say) to Morristown, NJ when he was 5. He was a proud graduate of Kent State University and continued to obsessively follow their sports teams, win or lose. He proudly served his country as part of the US Army Reserve. He was the longtime friend of Donna Wilkens (mother of Bryce), and the loving father of Bryce Wilkens Feibel. He adored Bryce and was her biggest cheerleader. He thought the world of her and spoke of her with love, pride, and care. Everyone knew she was the apple of his eye; he was mesmerized by her.
Al was a major contributor to the success of several publications (Bill Communications, Institutional Distribution, Restaurant Business, and Motor Magazine) year after year. He had both a strategic and creative mind when it came to creating and delivering presentations to clients. His expertise was valued, and he was invited to speak at Fortune 500 companies' corporate conventions. He was well liked and respected by his bosses, peers, and customers.
Al loved sports (all Chicago teams and, of course, Kent), movies, ice cream (no matter the time of year), and a glass of red wine. He also loved the silly humor of Monty Python. Al kept tabs on the weather, so you didn't need to; he was always ready to give you the weather forecast, no matter where you were in the world. He enjoyed a secondary career as an actor and model for print media.
His acts of kindness are remembered by many; Al never forgot a name, no matter how they touched his life; everybody knew Al and he was always generous. He had a caring and kind nature. His cadre of longtime friends were a testament to his character and meant a lot to him, most notably Andre Job, Greg Brandt, Charlie Gilbert, and Web Young.
