I just wanted to say THANK YOU for being super kind and a positive influence to my autistic son Rudie. Thank you for allowing him to get out of his chair multiple times a day to give you his famous half hugs with pats on the back. He does not do that to just anyone. He really felt comfortable with you. Rudie will miss you Mr. Gonzalez! And also THANK YOU for purchasing his class pic last year, because I had forgotten all about it. We will make sure to keep it forever.

I had the pleasure of teaching Alan in several classes at UIW, where his bright smile was a happy addition to the classroom. We all knew of his love for volleyball and how he enjoyed the arts. His academic excellence earned him membership in UIW's chapter of KDP, the Education honor society, where he also served as Historian before graduating. We will treasure our memories of Alan's laughter and love for teaching!

Alan mijo, you will be so missed. Today I went to see your family and I instantly felt the love and closeness your family brings just like it was during the elementary years at Palmer. It was a privilege to have had you and your siblings during those years. But today was a different closeness, one that you wanted us to feel, a love that we will take away from your loss. I cannot imagine the pain your mom, dad, Adrian and Amanda are going through but they are one strong family! Thank you Amanda for including me at the church, I felt more comforted by you and all the memories, pictures and video that was shared today. I needed it because Alan´s loss has been difficult to understand. Prayers for healing your hearts and always keep his memory alive. Alan left an imprint of his kindness and in a short amount of time his teaching of kids. I was so proud he went into education, how we need more Alans in education!

This passed hollween at our school trunk or treat <br />

Alan was one of the kindest people I have known. Along with our friend Victoria, we would play volleyball and us three would grow our friendship through the sport. I am grateful to have known Alan, and to have seen him grow into the person he was on and off the court since his freshman year at UIW. My condolences to the Gonzalez family, as Alan was loved by all. His memory and spirit of friendship will stay with me always.
