Mr. Alan Brandan Lane, 32, of Sylvania, GA, passed Saturday May 11, 2024 at the Optim Medical Center.
Alan was born in Savannah, GA on July 3, 1991. He was a native of Screven County and graduated from Screven County High School, Class of 2009. Throughout his youth and high school he played baseball and football. He attended Ogeechee Technical College and obtained certification in welding. He was a member of the Iron Workers Local 709 Union and assisted in the construction of Plant Vogtle Units 3 and 4. Afterwards, he began his own business, Superior Roofing Company. He enjoyed Brier Creek where he boated, and fished. He also frequented Savannah River Dragway in Newington and enjoyed tinkering on his own machines. He will be remembered for his mechanical intuition and as a loving daddy. He was preceded in death by his father, Alec Earl Lane.
He is survived by his children, Bryce Alec Lane of Millen and Kinsley Rae Lane of Sylvania; mother, Melissa Jean Lane, of Sylvania; siblings, Frank Meyer "Trey" Brantley of Swainsboro and Keri Lane and her fiance', Reed Reynolds; grandmother, Barbara Jean Lane of Sylvania; aunts and uncles, Chris and Tonya Lane of Rocky Ford, Angela Pearl Moore of Savannah, Cindy and Walden McCall of Guyton, and Loyd C. "Pete" Allen of Savannah; as well as numerous cousins.
A public viewing will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at Joiner Anderson Funeral Home Screven Chapel on Thursday, May 16, 2024.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024 at 3:00pm at Little Horse Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
