Alan F. Lessard

FALMOUTH, MA Alan F. Lessard, 77, of Falmouth, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on December 24, 2025. He was the husband of Alice Cassia-Lessard and son of the late Wesley and Edith Lessard.

Alan received his Masters Degree from Boston University. He worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a manager in employment services where he met his loving wife Alice. He also worked at the Life Institute in Mashpee helping persons with autism and the May Institute on Cape Cod. Following his retirement he worked for Cape Cod RTA. He enjoyed gardening, restoring furniture and home improvements such as sanding and painting. His favorite place was the beach where he enjoyed surfing and spending time with family. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be dearly missed by all who loved him. In addition to his wife Alice of 38 years, Alan is survived by his son Matthew Cassia of Falmouth, two sisters Janet Lee and Alice Tully, two brothers Wes and Gary Lessard, his granddaughter Emily McElroy, three great grandchildren Amelia, Elanora, Georgia and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at Chapman Funerals and Cremations, 475 Main St., Falmouth, MA 02540 on Saturday, January 3, 2026 from 10:00am to 12:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Save the Children Foundation https://www.savethechildren.org/.
