Barbara R. Lessard

Barbara R. Lessard, age 96, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and selflessness that touched everyone who knew her. Born on October 8, 1929, in Lynn, Massachusetts, Barbara lived a life devoted to family, hard work, and quiet grace. She was the beloved wife of the late Roger Lessard and the heart of her family.
Barbara was a devoted and loving mother to four children: Stephen Lessard; Philip Lessard, who passed at birth; Karen Nettles; and Ginny Juhl-Chouinard. She was a proud grandmother to five grandchildren-Christopher Lessard, Tracy Lessard-Toncelli, Kyle Lessard, Sean Juhl, and Alexander Juhl-and a deeply cherished great-grandmother to seven great-grandchildren: Ashley Bosque, Molly Lessard, Lily Toncelli, Jack Juhl, Carter Juhl, Ella Juhl, and a great-grandchild soon to be welcomed into the family.
In her younger years, Barbara worked as a cosmetologist, but her greatest calling was caring for others. She devoted herself to raising her children and lovingly helping to raise her grandchildren, always offering patience, guidance, and unconditional love. Later in life, she built a long and respected career at Special Data Processing, where she worked for 16 years as a deposit clerk. She also worked at N.S. Nettles & Associates and at Poolside, Spas & Pools, continuing to work with pride and dedication until the remarkable age of 92.
Barbara was kind and sweet to everyone she met. She had a gentle spirit, a warm smile, and a heart that always put others first. She loved deeply, gave endlessly, and never asked for anything in return. Her family often says that everything good they learned-how to love, how to care, how to be strong and compassionate-came from her example.
She found joy in gardening, golfing, and reading, but nothing brought her greater happiness than time spent with her family. Barbara was truly an amazing woman, a steady presence, and a guiding light whose love will continue to live on through generations.
She has gone home to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ and her wonderful husband Roger.
Barbara will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
