Obituary of Alan J. Lipner

Alan J. Lipner; Husband of Nira; Father of Diane (Todd) Schayes, David (Linda) Lipner, and Ettie (Jason Denner) Lipner; Grandfather "Abi" of Gil Schayes, Anya Schayes, Hannah Lipner, Nate Lipner, Josh Lipner, Tobin Denner, Zach Denner; preceded in death by his sister Diane Lipner-Rodvien.

Alan was born on January 27, 1938, in Brooklyn, New York, to Leo and Ethel Lipner. He graduated from Penn State and then went on to get a Law degree and an LLM in tax from NYU. He was a Partner at Touche Ross where he worked in Belgium during which time all three of his children were born. He ultimately retired from American Express where he headed up the tax department. Outside of work, he loved to travel, play tennis, and offer unsolicited tax advice. He'll be remembered by his family as a devoted father, grandfather and husband. We will all miss his big smile and corny jokes.

Service, Monday, 10/6, 2:00 pm at Feldman Mortuary; livestream available on Feldman Mortuary's YouTube channel; Contributions to National Jewish Health.
