I only knew Alan from our brief years in Basic Training and the Army Reserves but Alan was definitely the "light that kept us all laughing through the rigors!" Always smiling.

Also members of the SLW Country Club Estates Community...I met Alan on Nextdoor when he shared the name of our now "forever" handyman. Alan also served on our HOA board, and we always appreciated his insights.

Dear Cindy, Melanie, Steve, and family,
Suzanne and I, as well as Chris and Kimberly were deeply saddened to read about Alan's passing. After reading it, Suzanne and I reminisced about the great times we had with your family. The rafting on the Delaware, the dinners, parties, and when Melanie and Chris had their tonsils removed at the same time. One great memory was when Alan and I took our daughters to the girl scout camp for the weekend. We wore the same clothes for three days. Alan was a fun guy to be around. We loved his sense of humor and warmth. Although we haven't seen each other for a number of years, we are also grieving that we lost a close friend, but we'll always have those great memories to remind us of him. May he rest in peace and may you find comfort in the Lord.
With Love,
Frank and Suzanne Barletto

Roommates in NYC when we both met our future brides. Brenda and I wed in October 1971 and a month later Cindy and Alan were married. Over 51 years later we still cherished that friendship. The world is suffering the loss of this Mench.
