Alan William Morano

Alan W. Morano passed away peacefully on October 20, 2024, surrounded by his family.
Alan was born on February 12, 1968, at Clark AFB in the Philippines, where his father served in the Air Force. He grew up surrounded by love and the camaraderie of military families. Following in his family's footsteps, Alan began his own military career by joining the U.S. Army in 1991. During his 20 years of service, he was awarded the Bronze Star, as well as several other accolades. After retiring from the armed forces, Alan worked as a Federal Contractor in Business Development.
Alan met his wife, Frankie, in Fort Lewis, Washington. They were happily married for 28 joyful years and experienced countless adventures together. Some of their favorite memories include going to NASCAR races, spending time at the lake house, traveling, watching the Kansas City Chiefs, and going to casinos.
Alan found joy in being a husband, dad, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He coached and cheered on his son Alan Jr. for the Tampa Bay Brawlers. When he was not at a wrestling tournament, he was at his daughter Megan's soccer games or hitting a few holes with her at Freedom Fairways. He also took pride in raising his sons Timothy and Paul. He taught Timothy how to bodyboard and coached Paul's little league baseball team. Weekends with his father, John, spent fishing on the boat, were special to him. Conversations with friends over the phone were a daily joy, and he delighted in sneaking Oreos to his grandchildren during their visits. Alan had a heartfelt passion for aiding others and making them feel like family.
Alan's absence will be deeply felt, as he was taken from this world far too soon. He is survived by his wife, Frankie; his children, Timothy (Sarah), Paul, Megan (Peter), and Alan Jr.; his grandchildren, Seth, Evelyn, PJ, and Nicholas; his father John, his step-mother Vicki and his siblings, Tony, Ariel, and Joan.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Eva Lynn.
The funeral service is scheduled for November 8 at 10 a.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Sun City, FL, followed by a Military Honors Ceremony and burial at 1:30 p.m. at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. A reception will take place at 6:30 p.m. at Elevate Events Venue in Brandon, FL.
