Alan R. Moriarty

ALAN R. MORIARTY, age 80, Beloved husband of Barbara (nee Thiess) for 55 years. Cherished father of Christine and Alan Jr. (Joann). Brother of Suzanne Armstrong (Richard) and the late Jane Anne Moriarty and beloved son of the late Cecilia K. and Robert J. Moriarty. Brother-in-law of Hilde Iwasyszyn (husband Tom). Loving uncle to Julie Armstrong, Richard Armstrong, Scott Ritzmann and Julie Stewart. Dear cousin and great uncle of many. Alan was a proud U.S. Air Force Veteran who served in Vietnam. He served as a peer visitor volunteer for new amputees at the V.A. He was an active member of amateur radio groups NOARS and West Park Radiops. Longtime volunteer for Lakewood Charitable Assistance Corp (LCAC) delivering food to those in need of assistance. Passed away October 28, 2022. Funeral Mass 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 2 at St. Luke Church, Lakewood (Clifton and Bunts Road). Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery on Wednesday, November 2 at 1:30 p.m. Please meet at cemetery.
