Alan Pfund Obituary
Alan passed away at his residence on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at the age of 73. The son of the late George and Anna (Taglauer) Pfund was born June 9, 1951 in Bay City, Michigan. Alan was a caring and giving man who was always helping others. Alan worked as a natural herbalist and enjoyed playing billiards, and riding his motorcycle, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Alan is survived by his wife of 29 years, the former Janet LaFond; three children, Holly (Ken) Jezowski, Angela Schalk and Tracey (Kelly) Larges; eight grandchildren, Becca, Kennedy, Emma, Kenlee, Baleigh, Hannah, Peyton and Riley; brothers and sisters, Delores Meagher, Norman Pfund, Dennis (Roxanne) Pfund, Annette Zinn and Susie Schafsnitz; sister-in-law, Judy Pfund and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three sisters, Elaine (Kenny) Tovey, Margaret Krzysiak and Lorene (Duane) Wesnick; three brothers, Edward (Jane) Pfund, Junior (Terri) Pfund and Gary Pfund; two brothers-in-law, Dick Meagher and Terry Schafsnitz and one sister-in-law, Gloria Pfund.
A memorial service will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 21, 2024 at the Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Pastor David McCarthy. Visitation will take place on Friday, June 21, 2024 at the Gephart Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contribution to the wishes of the family.
