Alan Pryor

Alan Pryor, age 84, of Plainfield passed away on September 5, 2025. He was born on April 4, 1941 in
Fortville, Indiana to the late Otto and Ruth Siddons Pryor. He married Juanita Mead Pryor on December
31, 1961; she preceded him in death in 2017. Alan was a meat cutter for Standard Grocery and Kroger’s
Grocery store before his retirement. He served in the US Army from 1963-1965 in Germany. Alan
volunteered for at the Roudebush VA hospital for several years and was a member of DAV (Disabled
American Veterans). He was a man of faith who displayed love, laughter, and devotion to his family.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday September 9, 2025 at 1 p.m. in Hall-Baker Funeral Home,
Plainfield. Burial with military rites will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield. Visitation will be held
from 11 a.m. until services in the funeral home on Tuesday.
Survivors include; Son: Richard Pryor, Sister: Connie DeZwaan (Jim), Brother: Stanley Pryor (Mary), 10
Grandchildren and 13 Great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Daughter: Deborah Pryor,
Son: Leslie Pryor and Brother: Robert Pryor.
