Alan Rusch Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Shimon Funeral Home on Nov. 10, 2024.
Alan W. Rusch Jr., "Ally" passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at the age of 69. Ally was born on July 14, 1955, in Hartford, Wisconsin to Emily M. (nee Theis) and Alan Rusch Sr. He was united in marriage to Mary Schmitt on November 14, 1998.
Ally graduated from Hartford Union High School in 1973. He followed in his father's footsteps as a mason, working for many companies before starting AJ Creative Construction. Later teaching masonry, bricklaying and blueprint reading at WCTC and Fox Lake Correctional Institute. He always made sure to point out the buildings he was part of constructing.
Ally had a huge heart and was an amazing father to all his kids. He enjoyed football, from playing the game to watching the Green Bay Packers. We remember his love of seasonings and cooking and will miss his "dial a shots."
He is deeply cherished by his beloved wife Mary (Schmitt), his sons Adam and Aaron (Kelly); his stepdaughters Mandy (Bret) Woodland, Melanie (Christopher) Friday and Michelle (Chadwick) Beeler; and grandchildren Sawyer and Demi Rusch, Mason and Hailey Beeler, Carter and Isabella Friday, Luci and Josie Woodland, Lexi and Wally Tews. They all will truly miss his tractor rides.
Ally is survived by his siblings, Sandy (Doran) Timmer, Danial (Debra) Rusch, David (Michelle) Rusch, Diane (Dan) Smith, cousins, nieces and nephews, family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his daughter Anna, parents Alan and Emily Rusch, and stepdad, Lyle Butzke, and other relatives.
The Rusch Family would like to share our gratitude and appreciation to Angel's Grace Hospice in Oconomowoc for the care provided. Your dedication, support and compassion have been a source of great comfort to us.
Mass of Christian Burial for Ally will be celebrated Friday, November 15, 2024, at 5:00 PM at St. John Catholic Church (1170 Rome Rd, Rubicon, WI 53078) with Rev. Britto Suresh officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Friday from 2:00 PM - 4:45 PM.
Inurnment in the church cemetery will immediately follow Mass.Further fellowship and luncheon will be held after Ally's committal in Weiss Hall (next to church.)
Contributions in memory of Ally to St. John Catholic Church in Rubicon and/or to the Hartford Youth Football Club are sincerely appreciated.
Ally wanted us to live life with the "No Pain No Gain" mentality and remember to always "Open a can of whoop-ass" in all you do.
