Alan A. Skilton, 76, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at the Serenity Hospice Inpatient Unit at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Hamilton.

Born in Trenton, Alan was a lifelong area resident and a proud graduate of Trenton High School. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army and later retired from Congoleum as a dedicated Design Technician after many years of service.

Alan had a love for life's simple pleasures. He enjoyed trips to the casino, cheered passionately for his beloved Eagles and Phillies, and found joy working in his yard among his flowers and plants. Above all, Alan cherished time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren, and he treasured the many travel adventures he shared with his devoted wife.

He was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Helen (Gryzbowski) Skilton, and his brother, Bob Skilton.

He is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 42 years, Elaine Ferry-Skilton; his daughter, Alexis Skilton; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Harry and Ann Skilton, John and Eleanor Skilton, and Dave and Linda Skilton; his beloved grandchildren, Michael, Stella, and Elleanor; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. He also leaves behind two Aids who took exceptional care of him, Lumisher and Janiqua.

Alan will be remembered for his warmth, loyalty, and quiet strength. He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Funeral services with military honors will be held privately at the family's convenience at the Brigadier General Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Road, North Hanover Township, NJ 08562.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association, 912 Killian Hill Road S.W., Lilburn, GA 30047 or online at https://www.lbda.org

Services are under the care of the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Homes, Hamilton.
