Mr. Alan Daniel Turner, age 64, of Douglas, Georgia, passed away suddenly on Monday evening, March 16, 2026, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.

Alan was born November 16, 1961, in Pensacola, Florida, to Patricia Gail Spear Turner and the late Hansel Turner. He was a veteran of the United States Army, and a long-time maintenance employee of the City of Douglas. Alan was an avid history and geography buff. He enjoyed golfing and fishing and was by far the best caregiver to his mother.

Along with his mother, Alan is survived by three siblings: Linda Gail T. Hawkins and husband Norman of Bonaire, Georgia, Robert Dean Turner of Douglas, Georgia, and Kim T. Hughes and husband, Larry of Beaufort, South Carolina; four nephews: Josh Hawkins and wife Emmalyne, Chad Sibley and wife Sara, Ryan Luna Sibley, and Robert Turner, Jr. and wife, Lesa; two nieces: Lauren Kight and husband Luke and Brittany O'Neal; along with a number of extended family members.

Alan's family will receive friends on Thursday afternoon, March 19, 2026, from 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM in the Ricketson Funeral Home Chapel. His funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM in the Ricketson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Fender officiating. Interment will follow in Moore Cemetery (Ware County) where military honors will be rendered.
