Alan James Wolthuis, beloved husband, son, and father, went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 5, 2024. He was born on August 27, 1979, in Ionia County, Michigan. Alan lived a life filled with hard work and dedication that touched the life of everyone that knew him. He was 44 years, 6 months and 9 days of age.
In his career as a tractor mechanic, Alan displayed unparalleled expertise and a passion for all things technical.
Beyond his work, Alan found true joy in the simple things, which was spending time with his beloved family and friends. His warm and welcoming personality made him not just an excellent mechanic but also a devoted husband and father.
Alan's interests were as diverse as the depths of his kindness. He found solace in gardening and the simplicity of just digging in the dirt, as well as the charm of vintage chainsaws that captured his fascination. His proudest accomplishment was being a member of The Ozarks Older Iron Club, where his skills and knowledge shone brightly.
Surviving Alan is a legacy of love and strength embodied by his loving wife, Rebekah, his proud parents, Edward and Terri Wolthuis; his five cherished children, AJ Wolthuis and his wife, Noel, from Huggins, Missouri, Abe Wolthuis, James Wolthuis, Alannah Wolthuis, and Thomas Wolthuis, all from the home; three brothers, Sam Wolthuis and his wife, Becky, from Mountain Grove, Missouri, Jason Wolthuis and his wife, Deziree, from Mansfield, Missouri; Jon Wolthuis from Graff, Missouri; his sister, Maggie Wilson, with her husband, Jeremy, from Palmer, Alaska; as well as a grandson, affectionately known as "Little Eddie."
In every act of kindness Alan shared and every skillful repair he made lies a memory that will forever weave its way into the hearts of those who knew him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy will continue to live on through the memories he created during his short time with us.
