Alan Yachasz Obituary
Born on December 4, 1955, at Alpena General Hospital in Alpena, Michigan, Rock graduated from Alpena Senior High School in 1974. He later settled in Rockford, Illinois, where he worked as a Plant Manager at Rockford Cement Products until his passing.
Rock was a proud member of the NRA and had a lifelong passion for restoring classic cars and trucks. He found joy in the outdoors-especially fishing trips to Canada and weekends spent at "Camp" with family and friends. Above all, he cherished time with his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Nina; his daughters Lisa (Allan) Schwobe, Leslie (Matt Skorstad) Williams, and Shanna (Corey Estes) Cirigliano; and his grandchildren Colton, Halle, Olivia, Owen, Brandon, and Logan. He is also survived by his siblings Kim (Peggy) Yachasz, Mark (Brenda) Yachasz, David (Casey) Yachasz, and Dorothy (Don) Baker, along with many nieces and nephews.
Rock was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Wilma Yachasz.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 17, 2025 at Genandt Chapel 602 North Elida Street, Winnebago, IL 61088. Pastor Don Knoup officiating. Visitation will take place from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 17, 2025 prior to the service. Burial in Calvary Cemetery, Winnebago, IL. Memorials may be made to the family.
