Mrs. Alana Hill Reynolds, 75, of Marietta, GA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 18, 2025. Alana was born Alana Elizabeth Hill in Miami, Florida on January 31, 1950. She graduated from Miami High School where she was a flutist in band.

Alana met John Reynolds in her freshman year on a blind date at the University of Florida (UF). They married four years later on June 17, 1972, and were happily married for 53 years.

Alana received her Bachelor's in Education from UF and her Master's from Georgia State University. She taught 4th and 5th grade students with great dedication and love for 30+ years and was most proud to have taught at Georgia Charter School Addison Elementary from its inaugural year until retirement.

Alana enjoyed gardening, particularly orchids, walking/running, reading, doting on her Golden Retrievers, and playing tennis. She was a City Champion in the Atlanta Lawn Tennis Association (ALTA). She loved spending time with family and raising her two sons, Stephen and Peter.

Alana was preceded in death by her mom Edith Bowes, dad Allen T. Hill Jr., brother Allen Hill III, and sister Eileen Foster.

She is survived by her husband, John of Marietta, GA, son Stephen of Marietta, GA, and son Peter of Woodstock, GA.

The family will be hosting a private celebration of life at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave, Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601, or online at www.alz.org.
