Albert Arelt Obituary
He was a veteran of the US Navy, having served during the Vietnam War, before beginning his career as a welder for Westinghouse in East Pittsburgh. Prior to retirement, he worked for the maintenance department for Gateway School District. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the American Legion Post 711 of Murrysville. He enjoyed working outside, fixing lawn mowers, going to the flea market, and fishing.
Al will be dearly missed by his wife of almost 40 years, Mary (Sabo) Arelt; two sons, Russell and Charles Arelt. Family and friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8pm Monday, January 19, 2026, at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. (MONROEVILLE/PLUM CHAPEL) 445 Beatty Road, Monroeville (412-856-4747), A blessing service will be held 10am Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at the funeral home. Al was an incredibly kind & generous person, & an amazing neighbor. Always using one of his many skills to help them out. Such a hard worker, & always so friendly & happy to share his knowledge.
He will missed by everyone who was blessed to know him.
