Albert “Bert” B. Erickson of Waukesha died on Friday, January 5, 2024, at the age of 76. He was born in Baldwin, WI on February 17, 1947, the son of Morris and Mary (nee Green) Erickson. Bert was a 1965 graduate of Baldwin-Woodville High School, and he earned his bachelor’s degree in education from UW-Milwaukee. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was glad to have had the opportunity to enjoy an honor flight. Bert worked for 35 years at Miller Brewing Company, retiring in 2002. He had a life-long love of fishing, and enjoyed hunting and fishing at his camp called Hunt and Release Club, LLC in Adams, WI. Bert was a member of Bridge Church and the UW-Milwaukee Vets Club.
He will be sadly missed by his children, Bethany (Dave) Brown of Crossville, TN, Bryan (Erin) Erickson of Waukesha, Brett Erickson of Pewaukee, and Braden (Janelle Manes) Erickson of Ottawa. He was the proud grandpa of Tori, Cailin, Bryce, Abby, and Charlie. He is further survived by his siblings, Lynn (Kathy) Erickson of Arizona, Jerry Erickson of Texas, Shirley (Ken) Ono of California and John Erickson of Baldwin, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of almost 30 years, Cathy Chudy Erickson, and his parents.
Visitation will be held Saturday, January 13, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until the 1:00 p.m. funeral service at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha, WI 53186. Memorials in Bert’s name are appreciated to the National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin, 10909 W. Greenfield Ave., Suite 201, West Allis, WI 53214.
