Jill Margaret May

Jill Margaret (Maygie) May, age 66, passed peacefully in her sleep on February 23, 2026. Maygie is preceded in death by her loving husband, Rolland C. May. Maygie, the daughter of Ralph and Betty Schoenick, both deceased, had a happy childhood in West Allis, Mequon, and Thiensville where she graduated from Homestead High School. It is there that she honed her creative skills to become an outstanding artist and craftswoman. Many of her wares have been shared amongst her close friends and family over the years. Maygie was loved and respected by all.
Maygie is survived by her brother, Larry (Susan) Schoenick of Waukesha, WI, and sister Nancy (Donald) Martin of Newburgh, IN. Maygie shared a special relationship with nephew Andy (Liza) Martin and Lindsay (Kyle) Dodd, and their children all of Evansville, IN. A celebration of life will be held at an undetermined date this summer.
