Emma Alice Kukla, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 16th, 2026, at the age of 90. Born on April 11, 1935, in San Antonio, Texas, Emma embarked on a remarkable journey that led her from the warmth of Texas to the chillier embrace of Green Bay, Wisconsin, where she resided after marrying the love of her life.

Emma's life was a tapestry of love, creativity, and resilience. She found joy in creating beautiful pottery, in perfecting her bowling game, and in the simple, profound pleasure of casting a line into serene waters of Lake Michigan while fishing. A passionate fan of the Green Bay Packers, Emma's spirited nature found a fitting outlet in her unwavering support for her favorite football team. She was a devoted Catholic where she served as a Minister of Holy Communion both at St. Patricks' church in Green Bay and Holy Name of Jesus church in Sheboygan WI.

A breast cancer survivor, Emma exemplified strength and courage throughout her life, inspiring those around her with determination and grace. Her greatest pride and joy, however, was her family. Emma was a devoted mother to John (Kim) Kukla and Jim (Wendy) Kukla. While living in Green Bay and raising her two boys, Emma worked as a secretary at Fort Howard Elementary School, where she dedicated more than 30 years of service before retiring.

In 2012, Emma moved to Sheboygan, Wisconsin, to be closer to family, living next door to Jim and Wendy. In 2023, she moved to Thiensville, Wisconsin to live with John and Kim. In both communities, Emma effortlessly formed new friendships that she deeply valued and cherished.

Emma is survived by her beloved children and their spouses; her adored grandchildren, Rachael (James) Barry, Nathalie (Zack) Borzick, Mitchell (Catherine) Kukla, Paige (Brett) Kukla, and Cole Kukla; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Sullivan Barry, Beau Borzick, and Tag Borzick. She also leaves behind her dear sister Sylvia Ortega.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Leonard Kukla, her sister Lillie Bogart, her parents, Jesus and Rafaela Garcia and her great grandson, Bennett Michael Barry. Emma's legacy of love and resilience will live on in the hearts of her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
