Albert James Brown affectionally known to everyone as "Giggie" was born on September 27, 1955 to the late Doris Ella Brown(Quann) and Joseph Brown at West Jersey Hospital in Camden New Jersey.

Albert was educated in the Camden city school system. During this time he met the love of his life Gertrude Haughton(Brown). Whom he was married to for 47 years until he departed this life. Albert and Gertrude were blessed to share 55 years of life and love together. Albert was blessed to have five beautiful daughters whom he loved dearly.

Not long after starting his family and enlisting in the Marine Corps in 1973, Albert went on to find his career as a roofer at I. Alper Roofing Company. Albert was a hardworking and dedicated employee there for 37 years. After retiring from I. Alper Roofing Company he lived out the rest of his life enjoying spending time with his family and friends.

Standing at 6ft 3in tall, Albert was a well loved and respected "Gentle Giant". He lived a life filled with love, laughter, and kindness. He was tremendously known for his warm smile, gentle demeanor, and unwavering generosity. Leaving a lasting impression on all whom had the pleasure of knowing him. Albert was a devoted Son, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, Husband, Father, Pop-Pop, Great Pop-Pop and Friend. He was without a doubt everyone's favorite person. He was a sharp dresser and an even sharper thinker. He was quick-witted and clever. He also had a great sense of humor. In his leisure he enjoyed cooking, baking, watching sports, handy work, singing and listening to music. He loved music! He hardly ever heard a song he didn't like. He was a die hard Philadelphia Eagles fan and loved his Eagles apperal. And he hardly ever seen an eagles hat he didn't like.

Sadly, on August 18, 2025 Albert gained his wings. He is now peacefully resting with his parents and siblings who preceeded him in his call to heaven. Mother and Father Doris and Joseph Brown. Brothers Ray Johnson, Clarence Johnson, Melvin Brown, Joseph Brown Jr, John Johnson, Nicholas Brown, and Alfonso Brown. Sisters, Irene Johnson and Arnetta Bland.

Albert is survived by his wife, Gertrude Brown. His 5 daughters, Shawn L. Brown Briggs, Sherry Brown, Tameka Brown, Alberta Brown Combs, and Jessica Brown. His 7 grandchildren Charles D. Smith Jr, Lamier Young, Lamar Young, Deshana Brown, Toriah B. Smith, Charles Perry IV, and Lawrence Combs Jr. His 4 Great grandchildren, Brad M. Davis Jr. Bri'Ani Brown, Amerie Young and Freedome Young. His 2 Son-In-Laws Lamont Briggs and Lawrence Combs Sr. His 2 Brothers Leroy Johnson and Elmer Brown. His 4 Sisters Inez Polk, Grace Clark, Georgetta Brown and Rebecca Brown. His 3 Brother-In-Laws, Jackie Scott, William Haughton and Melvin Clark. His 4 Sister-In-Laws Carolyn Haughton, Camay Scott, Kim Brown and Marshilla Johnson. His 4 God Children Joseph Custis Jr. Lawrence Johnson, Syreeta Johnson and Kizzy Williams. A host of cousins. A host of nieces and nephews whom he loved as if they were his own children. Albert had many, many friends, but almost nothing compared to the friendship he had with his Bestfriend more like "a brother from another mother" Marlo D. Cubbage.
