Albert "Bud" John Bauer Jr. was born on July 22, 1955, in Renville, Minnesota, the son of Albert John Bauer Sr. and Grace Irene (Able) Bauer. He grew up in the Renville community and graduated from Renville High School in 1973 and shortly after he found Pamela Verna Voss. They married on December 24, 1976, and were blessed with 4 children. They divorced in 1993. Later in life, he reconnected with a past friend, Roberta "Bert" Buetow. They were inseparable until her passing in 2016.
Bud enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He would never turn down a game of Pool. He loved teaching people how to play the game and do bank shots and other tricks. Road trips were another favorite of his. Driving the river bottom roads is a fond memory everyone experienced with him. His favorite holiday was the 4th of July. He loved fireworks. He never blew anyone up, although came close a couple of times. He also enjoyed woodworking, fixing cars and helping others out in any way he could.
He is survived by his four children, Kenneth Bauer, Amy (and Brian) Kroes, Robert Bauer and Nicholas Bauer; three grandchildren, Samantha Kroes, Carter Kroes and Sydney Bauer; and his brother, David (and Sheila) Bauer, besides other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his special friend, Roberta Buetow; his best friend, Larry Treague; his parents, Albert and Grace and his sister, Iris O'Leary.
