Albert E. Button, age 89, of Alliance, died at 4:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born April 1, 2010, at his home in Alliance, Ohio, to Brennan and Margaret May (Booty) Button and was a lifetime Alliance resident. Albert attended the former Sawburg School and graduated from Alliance High School. He was employed as a car mechanic, electrician and plumber, and was formerly employed by Eljer Plumb Wear in Salem and later at the General Electric Lamp Plant in Ravenna. He was a member of the United Steel Workers of America Local No. 3816. Albert loved to travel, and enjoyed watching John Wayne movies and westerns. He enjoyed his work. Survivors include his wife, Christine L. (McDonald) Button of Alliance, whom he married June 22, 1994; daughter, Angelina R. Greathouse; son, Jeff Button; two granddaughters, Maria and Michele; two grandsons, Michael and Douglas; sisters, Juanita Smith of Washingtonville and Kitty Johnston of Canton; nephews, Jimmy Smith of Washingtonville and Danny Smith of Leetonia. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Jo Anne Lane; sister, Eleanor Sankey; and one grandson, David. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 16, 2010 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Ping officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home, 75 S. Union Ave., Alliance, Ohio 44601.
