Albert William Deitz (72) of Woodbury, CT passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 28 2026 at 10:40am.
Albert, better known as "Billy", was born and raised in Fairfield, CT with his amazing parents Mary and Howard Deitz and seven brothers and sisters.
Bill went into the military where he proudly served in the Air Force. After his military service, he met and married Loris Nelson and had two daughters that were his whole world. His marriage to Loris ended and a few years later he fell in love again with Terri Cozzilino for 27 beautiful years.
Bill and Terri fell in love with traveling to the warm beaches of the Caribbean. Bill dedicated 35 years of his life to the Norwalk Vault Company. His happy place at the end of his life was at his camper overlooking the water at his daughters campground, surrounded by family.
Bill is survived by his wife Terri, his daughters: Kirstine Wallenta (Ron) and Samantha Parry (Jeff), his step daughter Karen Sirois, and Peter Cozzilino. He is also survived by his grandchildren who were his pride and joy: Corina Wallenta, Andrew "Ace" Hornak, Conner Cast, Hailie and Michael Sirois, and Emily and Caitlin Cozzilino.
He was preceded by his parents Howard and Mary Deitz as well as five of his brothers and sisters: Butchie, Doris, JD, Genie, and Chas.
Billy's big heart, smile, and goofball personality will be truly missed but never forgotten.
Services will be held on Friday, February 6th. Visitation will be from 10am - 1pm with a prayer service beginning at 1pm at the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield CT. A graveside service will take place afterwards at Oak Lawn Cemetery, 1530 Bronson Road, Fairfield CT.
In lieu of flowers, please consider sending a donation to the Sandy Hook Promise Foundation or the Fisher House Foundation.
