Albert DeJohn Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Williams Funeral Directors - Garland on Feb. 3, 2026.
Albert DeJohn, Jr., age 90, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2026, in Garland, Texas. Born on December 7, 1935, in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania, Al lived a long and meaningful life marked by dedication to his family, service to his country, and a quiet strength that left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

At a young age, Al joined the United States Army, and remained proud of his service, honoring veterans throughout his life. Following his military service, he embarked on a distinguished career in engineering with 30-years with E-Systems/Raytheon. His work ethic and technical skill were hallmarks of his professional life.

He shared many cherished years with his beloved wife, Rose Marie DeJohn, whose memory remained close to his heart following her passing. Together they raised a loving family that became the center of Al's world.

He is survived by his children: Linda and husband Chris Barton; Diana Baker; Dawna and husband Perry Nash; Albert and wife Heather DeJohn; and Jennifer and husband Mike Frawley. Al was also the proud grandfather of 19 grandchildren and great-grandfather to 19 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Rose Marie DeJohn, daughter Cyndi Alexander and son in law Gene Baker.

Outside of work and family life, Al found joy in simple pleasures. He loved fishing and golf-pastimes that brought him peace and camaraderie-and he remained a loyal fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers throughout his life.

Al was known for his quiet grace, unwavering kindness, and deep love for those closest to him. Though soft-spoken, he had a wicked sense of humor that could light up a room. His steady presence provided comfort and strength to those around him.

May Albert DeJohn Jr.'s memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved him. An interment will be held on February 18, 2026, at 1:15 PM at Dallas Ft Worth National Cemetery 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy.
