Albert Elroy Elliott

Mr. Albert Elroy Elliott, 87 of Galax, VA, passed away December 1, 2024 at the Blue Ridge Nursing Center in Stuart, VA. He was the last survivor of the 18 children of Abram Mack and Ina Lou Hodge Elliott. He was self employed and owner of Elliott Paint and Wallpaper for over 37 years until his retirement in 2007, he was also a veteran of the US Navy serving from 1955 to 1961. A member of Mt. Pisgah Church of Christ and in his younger years he enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading and building cabinets and houses. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Phyllis Williams Elliott; son, Randy Elliott and wife, Vicki of Radford, VA; daughter, Roxanne Edwards and husband, Billy of Ennice, NC; grandchildren, Brenda Killon and husband, Robbie of Ennice, NC, Sarah Brooks and husband, Kevin of Sparta, NC, Melanie Edwards of Ennice, NC, Melissa Erwin and husband, Jason of Fleetwood, NC, Josh Elliott of Blacksburg, VA, Chris Elliott and wife, Whitney of Pulaski, VA; sisters in law, Eula Bartlett and Carol Elliott both of Galax, VA. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday December 3, 2024 beginning at 2:00 pm at High Country Services with pastor Marvin Williams and pastor Lawrence Warden officiating. Burial will follow in Monta Vista Cemetery, Galax, VA. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until service time at the funeral home. Flowers will be appreciated, or memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
