Albert Henry Evers entered his rest on August 20, 2021. He was born on September 12, 1936, to Albert and Martha Evers of St. Louis, MO (formerly of St. Anthony, Missouri, and Mary's Home, Missouri).

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert & Martha (Buechter) Evers, his first wife, Valerie (Wanek) Evers, his sons Albert Evers, Chris Evers, and Mark Evers, as well as his siblings, Rosemary (John Polanc) Polanc, Janet Brueggeman (Bill Brueggeman), and Larry Evers.

He is survived by his wife, Linda (Feuerborn) Evers, his daughter Angela Dillmon (John Dillmon), and son, Steven Evers (Dierdre), and his daughters-in-law, Lydia Evers, and Karen Agnew.

He was the dear grandfather to Mindy (Randall) Nicholson, Albert (Missy) Evers, Luke Evers, Tracy (Todd) Hancock, Kelly (Nicholas) Burton, Jeremy (Lyndsey) Evers, Joshua (Jola) Evers, Sarah (Shawn) Reibold, Jordan (Stacy) Evers, Jared (Alyssa) Dillmon, Aaron Dillmon, Steven (Jessica) Evers, Paige (Alex) Berger and many great-grandchildren.

He was a beloved brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

Al went to high school at St. Mary's High School in St. Louis and graduated in 1953. He then attended Rubicam School of Business and went on to work for the Missouri Pacific Railroad as a stenographer. After living in Arkansas for a short time, Al and his family returned to St. Louis. In 1956, Al began his career at McDonnell Aircraft. McDonnell Aircraft later became McDonnell-Douglas, then Boeing. He retired after 38 ½ years in 1995. At the time of his retirement, he was Group Manager of Business Operations. Many of his years at McDonnell-Douglas was spent as Supervisor of Scheduling for the assembly of the F4, F15, F18, T45, C17, and the F18 Hornet Aircraft.

Al and his wife Linda retired to Lake of the Ozarks and spent 18 years boating, fishing, and enjoying each other. While living there, he held many odd jobs – school bus driver, pumping gas at marinas, working in a cigar shop, and selling cars. In 2010, Al and Linda returned to the St. Louis area due to his health.

As a young man, Al loved visiting the family farms where his grandparents lived and working there in the summers. Returning for family reunions and events year after year was a great joy to him.

Al loved to play and watch many sports and was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Rams. He loved to bowl, play softball & basketball, and fish. The best days were spent in the boat, with a fishing rod in his hand, eating barbeque, and catching crappie.

Until the very end, Linda was by his side comforting him as she did for 27 years. There are no words to express how much he will be missed.
