Albert Hale Obituary
Albert Charles Hale, 84, of East Windsor, beloved husband for over 26 years of Karen "Diane" (Grems) Hale, passed peacefully on Saturday, September 13, 2025.
Albert was born in Hartford, son of the late Herman and Gertrude (Salisbury) Hale, and was raised in North Danville, VT on his family farm, Windy Acres Farm. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, and because of his talent in the kitchen, he was assigned to the Generals Quarterly where he traveled the world as a general's chef. After his service, he moved to Florida with some of his buddies and enjoyed the sunshine and the life of a lifeguard. He then went to Boston, MA, where he attended floral school, and shortly after, settled in Connecticut, where he worked for Snelgrove Florist before opening his own shop, Hale's Country Florist in South Windsor. After retiring from Daley's Florist in Windsor Locks he continued to practice his art in a few grocery store floral departments. Albert spent over 60 years in a career that he loved with all his heart, that of practicing the love language of flowers. His strong work ethic and drive inspired his family and friends to be the best they could be every day.
Albert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and dear friend. He was a free-spirited man who was kind, caring, and compassionate, and loved his family more than anything. He taught his children and grandchildren the value of family, friendship, discipline, respect, a strong moral compass, and how to treat others the way you would want to be treated. Albert loved unconditionally and found a way to prove to everyone that you did not need to share the same blood to be family. He gave to a fault and would give you the shirt off his back or the last dollar in his pocket if you needed it. Albert also had a great sense of humor, a wonderful infectious laugh, and a smile that would light up a room.
Albert was an amazing cook and loved to entertain family and friends. He hosted all the holiday celebrations with elegance and style and always catered to everyone's needs. The care he put into everything, from the table decorations to the main dish, was always prepared with thoughtfulness and love. Albert's happy place was gardening, and he enjoyed spending countless hours in his flower gardens making everything look perfect and beautiful. He also loved to play card games, and dice games like Yahtzee and Greed, Bingo, and loved to dress up, especially for Halloween.
Albert leaves a legacy of beautiful memories that will live in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved him.
In addition to the love of his life, Diane, he leaves to celebrate his life, his son, Kevin Hale and his wife Claire of East Windsor; his step children, Kimberly Beamish and her husband Jeffrey, II of Nantucket, MA, and Brian Klein (Tina) of Galax, VA; daughters-in-law, Daniela Klein and Sarah Pullman; grandchildren, Victoria Elliott, Tyler Hale, Damian Klein, Cassandra Klein, Marina Cassano, Harper Beamish, Brady Klein, and Shawna Klein; great grandsons, Giovanni and Alexander Montavlo; his beloved fur friend, Max; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, several brothers-in law and sisters-in -law, and many friends.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his stepson, Shawn Klein; his siblings, Donald Hale, Richard Hale, and Janice Duperron; and his dogs, Tipper I and Tipper II.
A service to honor Albert's life will be private for family and friends.
