Albert T Hampton

Albert T Hampton, age 92 and formerly of Florence, KY passed away on August 8, 2024. He was born August 25, 1931 to Pearl and Bertha Hampton. He was raised in Broadhead, Ky, along with his 10 siblings. He married the love of his life, Lois Kincer Hampton, on November 3, 1952. He also was a veteran of the Korean War, the extremely proud father of three daughters, and retired from Cincinnati Milicron as a machinist after 34 years of service.
Albert was known for his involvement and commitment to his family, church, and community, frequently volunteering to lend a helping hand whenever he heard of a need. Both he and his wife were very involved in outreach and mission work with their church, Florence Baptist, and spent many hours each week volunteering at Hope Ministries of Northern KY. For several years he was a volunteer at Maplewood Children's Home in Burlington, providing things children needed and/or taking kids and a staff member to appointments for the children. For over 10 years he was involved in The Fellowship of Christian Athletes, chaperoning at many events and assisting other volunteers in making breakfast each week for 80-100 Conner High School students before school.
In addition to volunteering, some of Albert's favorite things to do were attend anything his children or grandchildren were involved in, going out with his and his wife's large group of friends, riding his bike, taking walks through the neighborhood, and cheering on his beloved UK Basketball team.
Albert is preceded in death by his wife, Lois Hampton, who passed away in 2020, Son-in-Law Stephen Roth, Brothers Earl, Walter, Cecil, and Charles Hampton, Sisters Mary Bradley and Lillian Vaughn.
Albert is survived by 3 daughters, Rita Brock (Thomas), Valerie Roth, and Rhonda Hampton (Michael), 7 Grandchildren Tyler (Liannie), Phillip (Leslie), Kyle (Stefanie), Olivia (Kyle), Eric, Jonathan (Kasi), and Meredith, 14 great grandchildren, brother Junior Pearl Hampton, and sisters Verna DeBord, Martha Miniard, and Sue Schmidtgossling. Visitation will be from 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM with the Funeral Service to follow at 12:30 PM on Friday, August 16, 2024 at Stith Funeral Home, 7500 US 42, Florence, KY 41042. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Taylor Mill, KY. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Hope Ministries of Northern Kentucky.
