Albert Harper

Albert Glenn Harper, age 82, formerly of East Prairie, MO, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Cotton Point Living Center in Matthews, MO. He was born August 20, 1943, in Brownwood, MO, to the late Wade Harper and Lillian Cora Pearson Harper. Albert worked as a timber cutter and was later employed by Jones Sanitation. He retired following several years of working on the farm. In his spare time, he loved riding to the river.

Survivors include three brothers, Delbert Harper and Philbert Harper, both of Sikeston, MO and Herbert Harper, address unknown; four sisters, Wanda Counts and Wilma Counts, both of East Prairie, Wilsie Evans of Morehouse, MO, and Colleen Hon of North Carolina. Also surviving are several special nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and two brothers, Chester Ray Harper and Robert Wade Harper.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 24, 2025, beginning at 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12 noon at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. Bro. Ron Smotherman will officiate.

Interment will follow in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Shelby Funeral Home.
