Lee B. Presson Jr., age 77, passed away on January 22, 2026, at his home in
St. Louis, Missouri surrounded by his family. Formerly of
East Prairie, MO. He was a graduate of East Prairie High School Class of 1966.
He was born on May 24, 1948, in
Cairo, Illinois, to the late LB. Presson Sr. and Effie Brantley Presson.
On May 18, 2003, he married Patty Fontaine, who survives of the home.
Lee B. was a devoted member of Have Bible Will Travel Church in Creve Coeur, Missouri. He proudly served his country in the United States Army for four years.
A third-generation automobile dealer, Lee B. was the owner of Presson Ford in
East Prairie, Missouri, which operated from 1954 until 1984. He later worked for Chevrolet and General Motors beginning in 1989 until his retirement in 2015. During his career, he received numerous sales awards, including a Lifetime Achievement Award from General Motors. A true car enthusiast, his passion for automobiles was evident throughout his life.
Lee B. enjoyed playing poker, watching basketball, baseball and football, collecting coins and was a devoted St Louis Cardinals Fan. Above all he loved watching his grandson, Tucker, play East Prairie Eagles Football under the Friday NightLights, whether he was in attendance or watching him on live stream.
Including his wife, Patty Presson, he is survived by his daughter, Megan Brantley Parker and her husband, Tim, of
East Prairie, Missouri; his son, Lee B. "Trey" Presson III and his wife, Tyanna, of Dexter, Missouri; his brother, David Presson and his wife, Joy, of Creve Coeur, Missouri; his sister-in-law, Jeanine Hajdas of Farmington Hills, Michigan; his grandchildren, Demi Parker (Brett) Miller, Landen (Kelsea) Parker, Anna Catherine "Chaki" (Tyler) Hall, Sabrina Woollums, Cody Woollums, Mason Woollums, and Tucker Parker; and his great-grandchildren, Laurel Kate Miller, Whitford Bennett Miller, Wrenley Kate Parker, Waverly Jane Parker, Walker Ray Hall, and Brantley Kate Hall, who is expected to arrive in March 2026.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ules and Myrtle Tanner Presson, a grandson, Dylan Uthoff, and brother in law, Michael Hajdas.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Shelby Funeral Home in
East Prairie, Missouri.
Pallbearers will be David Presson, Landen Parker, Tucker Parker, Tim Parker, Brett Miller, and Tyler Hall.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Maxwell, Howard Bradley, Martin Lucas, Cody Woolums, Mason Woolums, Whitford Miller, and Walker Hall.
Interment will follow at Dogwood Cemetery in Dogwood, Missouri.
