Albert J Ivan

Albert James Ivan, 68 of Jackson died Monday, March 9, 2026 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold. Born in Perth Amboy, he resided in Carteret for 22 years before moving to Jackson 26 years ago. Albert was a "jack of all trades" from a young age, most recently working on various construction and home repair projects throughout Ocean & Middlesex County before retiring in 2019. Albert was a talented auto mechanic who loved to work on cars, especially his long-time dream car, his Chevy Corvette, and his Harley motorcycle. He enjoyed the water, whether it was crabbing, fishing on his boat or traveling on a cruise ship with his wife. He was also a man of great Christian faith, traveled to Israel and walked in the footsteps of Jesus. He was proud of being an Ivan, a Slovak and Cherokee American Indian. He is predeceased by his mother Rosella Sharrie and his brother, Kenneth Ivan. Surviving is his wife of 47 years, Dianne Ivan, his daughter, SarahLyn Thomas & her husband Andrew, his pride & joy grandson, Rocco James. He is also survived by his sister, Diane and his 3 half-siblings. A Memorial Gathering will take place Saturday, March 14th from 1-4 PM with a 3 PM service at Oliverie Funeral Home, 125 South Cooks Bridge Road, Jackson.
