Ivan Wirhanowsky, age 60, of Hackettstown, passed away on August 19, 2025, after a brief illness. He was born in Dover, NJ, on May 21, 1965, to Sonya (Morosky) Wirhanowsky and the late Frank Wirhanowsky. He graduated Hackettstown High School in 1983.
Ivan is survived by his mother Sonya Wirhanowsky of Hackettstown, sister Daria Kimball and husband Robert of Northridge, CA, brother Serge Wirhanowsky and wife Sandy of Bay Springs, MS, his daughter Stephanie Wirhanowsky and her mother Ruth Bush Wirhanowsky of Belvidere, and close friend Linda Heinrich of Washington. He will be dearly missed by his extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
Ivan enjoyed tattoo art, sports, and was an avid high school and college football fan. He collected various types of memorabilia from many teams and had an extensive yearbook collection. He also enjoyed researching and learning about his ancestry collecting many articles, photographs, and history of his family heritage. We all will dearly miss his kindness and his sense of humor.
