Wanda Kay Ivan, 80, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at the Good Samaritan in Beatrice, NE.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 23, 2025 at the Marysville City Cemetery. Father Quentin Schmitz will officiate.
Wanda was born to Samuel and Edna (Uphold) Ivan in Star City, WV on June 29, 1944. In 1962, she graduated from Seaman High School in Topeka. After school she became a Kelly girl and did office work until her retirement.
She was united in marriage to Richard Holoubek in 1972. They lived in Omaha, NE. After his passing Wanda moved to Salina and lived with her mother. They later moved to Beatrice.
Wanda had many hobbies that included sewing, crocheting, gardening, travel, puzzles and word search books and she also taught herself to play the organ. She belonged to the Beatrice Classy Cats Red Hat Society, and was a member of Christ Community Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and husband, Richard.
Survivors include her cousins, Carol (Donald) Gentry, Simpson, KS, Brenda (Frank) Staggenborg, Marysville, KS., Susan Harries, ID, Jane Gibbs, CO, Janet (Brad) Raymond, OR, and Virgil Uphold, IL.
A memorial fund is established to Good Samaritan Home in Beatrice. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary, Marysville, KS.
