Albert Lyles Obituary

Albert Franklin Lyles, 75, of Edcouch, TX passed away peacefully on July 17, 2025 in Edinburg, TX. Frank was born November 18, 1949 in Batesville, MS, son of Clarence (Tincy) and Ruth (Thomas) Lyles. Frank retired after 20 years in the U.S. Army as a Sergeant First Class serving around the world earning numerous awards including a Bronze Star during Dessert Sheild/Dessert Storm. After the Army he settled in Star City, AR where he was a Deputy Sherriff in Lincoln County. He was a member of the VFW and he was a shriner. He loved being in the clown patrol. He loved traveling, riding motorcycles, collecting guns and knives. He espesially loved his family and attending the annual Lyles Family Reunion in Sardis, MS each July. Frank is survived by the love of his life and bestfriend Lena DeWitt Lyles of Edcouch, TX, sons Kelly (Shanna) Lyles of Mobile, AL, DeWayne Tallmon (Joey Gibson) of Carrollton, TX, Daughters Tracey Mooneyham of Oxford, MS and Robin (Will) Tidwell of Taylor, MS, daughter in law Meghan Lyles of Avon, IN, 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, first wife and mother of 3 of his children Marie Mills of Oxford, MS, brother James A (Patty) Lyles of Brandon, MS, sister Kay (Monty) Montgomery of Oxford, MS and brother in law James "Duck" Drake of Bruce, MS. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, son Travis, sisters Joyce Lyles and Theresa Lyles Drake and great grandson Dexter Coleman. A Memorial Service will be held on August 9, 2025 at 2:30 PM at Bruce Cemetery in Bruce, MS, which will also serve as Albert Franklin Lyles' final resting place. Parker Memorial Funeral Home is honored to serve the Lyles family during this difficult season of life.
