Albert Martell Obituary
Born in Lincoln, Rhode Island on October 10, 1926, he was a son of the late Albert A. and Elizabeth (Beckhauser) Martell.
Mr. Martell was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the World War II era from March 26, 1945 – November 4, 1946. He received the World War II Victory Medal.
He resided in Pawtucket for the past 25 years having previously lived in Lincoln for many years.
He was employed for 25 years as the New England General Manager of the Direct Press Modern Litho headquartered in New York and Virginia until his retirement in 2000.
Mr. Martell was a life member of the Bug Club in Central Falls, Rhode Island. He enjoyed golf and bowling in earlier years.
In addition to his wife of 26 years, he leaves two sons: Albert Martell of Lincoln, RI and Robert Martell of Lincoln, RI; two stepsons: Theodore Sanocki of Woonsocket, RI and Michael C. Sanocki of Pawtucket; three stepdaughters: Deborah A. Hoogasian of Cumberland; Cheryl A. Sanocki of Cumberland and Lori A. Perry of Pawtucket and several grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Monday, November 22, 2004 from 6:00 – 9:00 PM in the “Commonwealth Chapel” of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, ¾ mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro.
Private funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2004 with the Rev. Katrina Clinton, pastor of the First Congregational Church, North Attleboro, officiating. Burial will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence, Rhode Island.
Children’s room available during visitation.

Dear Rita,
I was deeply saddened to learn of Al's passing. I worked with Al for several years in the DPML Greenville and Warwick offices. He was a real teddy bear of a man with a great sense of humor and a big heart. He always thought of you 1st before anything and was always bragging about what a wonderful wife and partner he had.
He used to call me and pretend he was somone else with that long, unpronouncable Polish name but before he got the whole thing out, I would laugh and call him "hi, Al"! You and the ferrets were the joy of his life. I remember him with fondness and wish to express my deep condolences.

Mrs. Martel & the Sanocki family, I was saddened to read this morning, that Al had passed away. Alot of fond memories were had at Alfa Drive in high school as Lori and I were very close. Al used to make me laugh so much. Mrs. Martell & Lori, and the Sanocki family, I am so sorry for your loss. Love, Missy
